Crossing our fingers that everything goes well, Capcom will resume the regular Beta testing for Street Fighter V after facing numerous problems that blindsided them.

Technical issues delaying Beta test

Only a few months ago back in July was the original Beta test for Street Fighter V, but after facing so many technical issues Capcom had to revoke the Beta temporarily; aiming to bring it back as soon as possible. In the aftermath of these surprising issues, Capcom issued a stress test to some players to see if all the bugs have been removed from the game upon their discovery. With Capcom’s reputation on the line, they expressed some tips to their testers in hopes of making the stress test a bit more smoother, providing better feedback. The big advice Capcom distributed was to halt all downloads in the background while playing, and use a wired internet connection instead of Wi-Fi. While the gameplay may be a bit choppy and glitchy, improvements should commence following their guidelines.

This PS4 only Beta test may seem like a waste of time to some people who just want a perfect game, but by participating in these tests they’re able to shape the game and improve the quality. Capcom released a statement on how grateful they are to their testers; hoping that they not only enjoy the game, but can help boost the conditions for future players.

I have to hand it to Capcom, they’re dealing with their technical issues in a very mature way, trying to remove all the kinks in Street Fighter V before the official launch in early 2016. There’s still always hope that during the impending PAX Prime some footage and details will be released publicly.Do you think Capcom is doing everything they can to stabalize their Beta testing for Street Fighter V?
